Access
Whether arriving by air or sea one needs to take the main high way east coming off and onto the old road at Amnissos. The winding old road from Amnissos brings you into the resort of Kokkini Hani. Just before the main central turn off right for Anopolis village and the Watercity you will pass the small church of Agios Anagiros. Julies apartments lie almost opposite the church on your right hand side.
The resort
Originally a local fishing village, Kokkini Hani is most well known today for its superb clean sandy beaches and excellent choice of tavernas and restaurants. The resort lies along the north coast midway between Heraklion and the resort of Hersonissos and is just 15mins from the airport.
Although considered as one of the more quieter resorts there are in fact over 30 small local traditional shops as well a good selection of pubs and excellent coffee bars. For more serious nightlife the resort of Hersonissos lies just 15mins away. The village has a simple, tranquil laid back atmosphere and a friendly hospitable environment. Guests will particularly enjoy strolling around the back streets, the amazing views as one ascends up to the Watercity, the unique Monastery of Ag Ioannis and the quaint traditional village of Anopolis.
Activities
The largest Water Park on the island (WaterCity - Anopolis) lies just 3klm away. Jet Ski/banana/pedal/canoeing available on local beaches. Car Hire and excursion agents 50 metres away.
